Our crops are growing….

Will is such a hard worker, one of the things he enjoys doing is growing food. Every morning when he goes out to check on his hens, Cluck Norris, the goats & even the pigs he waters the garden. He is doing so well with helping to keep things growing and well fed. Without him we’d certainly wouldn’t have so much planted already.

Here are a few photos of some of the things we’ve planted so far this year.

Spaghetti squash started from seeds we dried
Our first little tomato of the season

Wife, mother, grandmother, homesteader, faithful. These are all things that I am proud to say describe who I am. I am devout in my faith, I believe our Father in heaven is my savior and provider. He has given me the most amazing husband on the face of the earth. The man has the patience of Job, it makes me envious at times. He and I met in high school when I was 16, and we’ve been married for 27 years. We have been blessed with four amazing children, Andrea (24), Alanna (20), Emily (16), and Will (15) and one incredible grandson, Jayce (5). I couldn’t imagine my life without them!! Growing up, I always thought I’d live on a farm, with a house full of children, grow my own food and raise my own meat. I envisioned it would be like you’d see in those old movies, where life was always joyful, food was plentiful and filled happy friendly animals. We live in southern Mississippi, where we spend our days enjoying one another home schooling, farming and learning new ways to provide for our family as homesteaders.
